Meet The Instructor
Hello, I'm Samantha Farmer, founder and lead instructor of Farmer Safety Consulting LLC.
I am a U.S. Navy Seabee veteran with a professional background spanning occupational safety, military construction, high-hazard industrial operations, emergency response, and regulatory compliance. I am currently completing my Master of Science in Safety, Security & Emergency Management (SSEM) at Eastern Kentucky University.
One of the most defining experiences of my career was serving as a Plant Operator at the Blue Grass Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant (BGCAPP), where I worked in the destruction of mustard, sarin (GB), and VX chemical agents. My experience included hazard recognition, lockout/tagout, confined space operations, respiratory protection, industrial hygiene monitoring, emergency response, safety inspections, JHAs, and process safety in one of the nation's most highly regulated industrial environments.
I founded Farmer Safety Consulting because I believe effective safety is proactive, practical, and built around real-world operations. I combine hands-on experience with graduate-level safety education to help businesses strengthen compliance, reduce risk, prepare their workforce, and build sustainable safety programs.
Whether I'm working with an organization or providing safety education to families, the goal remains the same: identify hazards before they become incidents and provide practical solutions that protect people.
